Job summary

The Blanchard Institute in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Clinical Assistant for a PRN role (<30 hours/week). You will support the clinical team with orientation, treatment-plan reviews, case management, assessments, and coordination of services. The position includes leading group activities and contributing to CQI initiatives.

Ideal candidates hold a behavioral health degree with relevant experience and certifications (First Aid/CPR, Crisis Intervention). The role offers a collaborative, supportive environment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health field is required.
  • +6 months experience in a related behavioral health setting is preferred.
  • Experience in residential, outpatient, or multidisciplinary environments is preferred.
  • CADC or CADC-1 may substitute for education.
  • First Aid/CPR certification is required.
  • Crisis Intervention Certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Support Clinical Team with Family and Client Orientation.
  • Help clients review treatment plans and coordinate case management.
  • Assist with referral management and arranging resources.
  • Conduct lectures and group activities, and assist with assessments.
  • Coordinate clinical and holistic services and participate in CQI activities.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution
6 months of experience in related behavioral health field
Prior work in residential, outpatient, or multidisciplinary treatment environments
CADC OR CADC-1 accepted in lieu of education
First Aid / CPR Certification
Crisis Intervention Certification

Schedule: PRN - less than 30 hours / week, variable

The Clinical Assistant is responsible for supporting the Clinical Team by assisting with Family and Client Orientation, helping clients review treatment plans, assisting with case management and referral management, conducting lectures and group activities, conducting assessments, coordinating clinical and holistic services being provided; and arranging additional resources. The Clinical Assistant participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution required.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience working within a related behavioral health field preferred.
  • Prior work in residential, outpatient, or multidisciplinary treatment environments preferred.
