Job summary

The University of Hartford’s College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions seeks a clinical/applied assistant professor who will also direct the Radiologic Technology program in the Department of Health Sciences. Beginning January 1, 2027, the selected candidate will lead curriculum development, accreditation, and student outcomes while teaching across the RAD program.

The ideal candidate will hold a master’s degree, ARRT certification, CT/MRI credentialing eligibility, and at least three

Qualifications

  • Earned master’s degree in the Radiologic Sciences, Education or related field.
  • Current ARRT certification and registration in radiography.
  • Active radiographer license in Connecticut or ability to obtain.
  • Minimum of three years’ professional experience.
  • Minimum of one year teaching experience in JRCERT-accredited radiologic sciences curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Teach across the radiologic technology curriculum as needed.
  • Contribute to program mission, curricular offerings, and accreditation.
  • Lead strategic planning, course planning and staffing, accreditation management.
  • Assess student learning outcomes and overall programmatic success.
  • Advise students and contribute to recruitment/retention efforts.
