The Menninger Clinic seeks a Clinical Applications Specialist to drive selection, implementation, and ongoing optimization of information management solutions for clinical workflows. You will evaluate software, map processes, and lead testing, training, and rollout with IT leaders and clinical customers.
Responsibilities include defining requirements, coordinating SME resources, and developing training materials, while aligning with hospital policies and informatics goals.
Hybrid M-F, 8 am to 5 pm (may occasionally require after hours)
The Clinical Applications Specialist focuses on helping the organization select, implement, and continuously improve the use of Information Management solutions which deliver value to the organization. This includes evaluating software, mapping and optimizing clinical workflows, implementing software, all levels of unit, system, functional, and integration testing, as well as training. The Clinical Application Specialist supports Menninger's goals by working with other IT leaders and customers to define, select, configure, implement, test, and train customers to use Menninger's clinical solutions.
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN), Certificate in Healthcare Related Informatics Preferred: ANCC Informatics Nurse Certification
Required: In lieu of Bachelor's current license as Registered Nurse (RN) in State of Texas; Certificate in Healthcare Related Informatics if no degree in clinical informatics
Preferred: Cerner Experience
Required: Three (3) years as RN clinician
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred:
Ability to efficiently and effectively analyze manual protocols and processes as well as systems, data, processes and related information and must be able to understand and graphically depict complex functions in addition to documenting process flows.
Minimum of three (3) years business involvement in electronic Clinical/Healthcare Systems at Menninger.
Familiarity with a variety of the Process Improvement concepts, Best Practices, methodologies etc.
