Job summary

University of Miami is expanding its Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine, and Pain Management and seeks exceptional faculty to join as General Anesthesiologists. Candidates should have a US-approved residency and board eligibility/certification.

Generalists will manage orthopedic, GYN, abdominal, vascular, and transplant cases; not required to perform cardiac cases or pediatric patients under 2. Opportunity to teach and mentor residents and SRNAs.

Qualifications

• US-approved residency in Anesthesiology
• Board Eligibility or Certification in Anesthesiology is required
• Research experience not required but desirable

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of anesthesia cases (orthopedics, GYN, community OB, abdominal, vascular, kidney transplant)
• Supervise residents, CRNAs, and SRNAs
• Participate in teaching and departmental conferences
• Flexible call schedule (3–4 overnight calls per month; some evenings/weekends)
