Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• ABA Board eligible/certified in Anesthesiology.
• Eligible for unrestricted Virginia medical licensure.
• Eligible for employment in the United States.
• Good communication, clinical and teaching skills.
• Commitment to respect, professionalism and civility at VCU.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside clinical teaching of residents, medical students and CRNA students; participate in department didactic programs.
• May pursue clinical or laboratory research within department guidelines.
• Participate in service on department or university committees as requested by Chair.
• Provide clinical anesthesiology care in main OR and ambulatory areas; supervise CRNAs as appropriate.
• Direct anesthesia care in critical care areas of the medical center.
