Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Hospital of Central Connecticut seeks a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA) for its Occupational Health and Rehabilitation department. Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification or related experience.
• Experience: at least 1 year of direct patient care in acute or ambulatory space may substitute education.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed by the AHA within 3 months of hire; credentials kept current.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care under physician supervision.
• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms.
• Obtain and record vital signs in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for patients and staff.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; perform additional duties as assigned.
