Diversity Inc. in New York seeks a board-eligible/board-certified pathologist to join the James J Peters VA Medical Center PATHPALMS team in Bronx and surrounding communities.

The role focuses on diagnostic pathology across anatomic and clinical disciplines, with opportunities for teaching and collaboration. The candidate must hold an MD or DO, be licensed to practice in the U.S., and have completed an ACGME/AOA-accredited residency program with English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must hold U.S. citizenship or eligible to work in the U.S.
• MD/DO degree from an approved medical school
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the U.S. or District of Columbia
• Completed residency in an accredited core pathology program (ACGME/AOA)
• Eligible for board certification or maintenance of certification in pathology
• English language proficiency – spoken and written

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic services in anatomic and clinical pathology.
• Oversee pathology and laboratory medicine clinical and administrative functions.
• Formulate and report diagnostic information for surgical, cytology, and autopsy specimens.
• Provide clinical laboratory consultation and participate in quality assurance activities.
• Teach residents and medical students and participate in multidisciplinary conferences.
• Respond to intraoperative consultations and provide timely sign-out of cases.
