Job summary

Hanger, Inc. seeks a Clinical Aide to provide direct support to credentialed clinicians in delivering orthotic and prosthetic patient care.

You’ll assist with patient care preparation, technical fabrication and modification of devices, clinical documentation, and inventory management, under supervision. Under direct supervision of a clinician, you will aid in patient care delivery, perform administrative tasks, and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards while focusing on

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in a customer service or patient facing role.
• Preference for allied health professionals (PTA, OTA, Athletic trainer, etc).
• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record within Hanger’s policy.
• If the Clinical Assistant holds a licensed certification, may be supervised under Indirect Supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified clinicians in delivering patient care under direct supervision.
• Prepare treatment rooms and patients for clinical procedures.
• Perform technical fabrication tasks, including making and modifying molds.
• Execute treatment modifications, adjustments and repairs as directed by the supervising clinician.
• Fit and provide soft goods items to patients.
• Provide alterations and adjustments to soft goods items as needed.
• Provide orthotics fitting services independently.
• Assist with selected patient follow-up care under clinician direction.
• Complete and maintain accurate, timely documentation of all patient care provided.
• Communicate patient information and care outcomes to the supervising clinician.
• Ensure all patient procedures comply with clinical protocols and standards.
• Perform shipping, receiving, and inventory monitoring of prosthetic and orthotic materials.
• Coordinate with vendors to order necessary materials and supplies.
• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work environment.
• Adhere to safety regulations; Medicare and OSHA compliance.
