Job summary

Ambience is building AI systems that support clinicians, with a leadership role for a Clinical AI Manager. You will guide a team of clinical AI ICs across two product pods, maintain hands-on involvement, and provide technical and clinical judgment to ensure high-quality AI outputs aligned with medical practice.

The role requires an MD/DO with 3–5+ years in tech after clinical practice, strong coding and AI knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-moving startup environment.

Qualifications

• MD or DO physician with residency completed.
• 3–5+ years at a tech company after clinical practice.
• Experience managing direct reports in tech or healthcare environments.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompting, evaluation, and clinical content review.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of clinical AI ICs across two pods and develop their skills.
• Own the clinical AI roadmap, quality, and delivery for your pods.
• Carry personal projects including prompting, evaluation design, and content work.
• Provide technical guidance and review team outputs and decisions.
• Represent clinical perspective with product, engineering, and customers.
• Coach ICs on execution, planning, timelines, and communication.
• Participate in hiring and interview candidates as the team grows.
