RxSight is an ophthalmic medical technology corporation headquartered in Aliso Viejo, California that has commercialized the world’s first and only adjustable intraocular lens (IOL) that is customized after cataract surgery. The company’s mission is to revolutionize the premium cataract surgery experience by allowing surgeons to partner with their patients to achieve optimized results for every unique eye.

OVERVIEW:

The CTS III is responsible for providing world-class training and support for physicians and staff on the use and integration of RxSight products and technology. The position supports clinical efforts at customer sites via clinical support, monitoring surgeries, supporting clinical evaluations and LDD treatments, reviewing post-operative visits and patient follow-ups, and supporting clinical data collection for compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP). The role involves providing consistent, high-level support to customer sites, fostering full integration of RxSight products into their clinical practice. It supports both commercial and investigational study sites in a regulated environment, ensuring timely data feedback and reporting. The position requires heavy interaction with customers and internal departments to maintain transparent communication and ensure the voice of the customer is heard.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Train physicians and staff on RxSight technology and best practices.
  2. Communicate with sites to identify key personnel and set expectations for site readiness prior to onboarding.
  3. Ensure staff supporting physicians are fully trained on RxSight technology to enable rapid adoption.
  4. Oversee and manage customer onboarding and ongoing training to ensure operational competence in compliance with SOPs.
  5. Conduct periodic audits of the training program to ensure adherence and effectiveness.
  6. Assist with customer complaint handling and management, as applicable.
  7. Support clinical study sites, ensuring compliance with protocols, data integrity, and proper documentation.
  8. Assist with on-the-job training of new clinical applications personnel.
  9. Provide consistent clinical support, focusing on patient safety, customer support, and continuous improvement.
  10. Offer strategies and feedback for optimizing clinical methodologies.
  11. Lead troubleshooting efforts for clinically relevant incidents, involving other departments as needed.
  12. Maintain and update the Training Portal regularly.
  13. Deliver excellent customer support, measured by customer satisfaction surveys.
  14. Monitor regional trends and communicate findings for process improvement.
  15. Support global trade shows, meetings, and conferences as required.
  16. Assist with clinical data collection, analysis, and presentation.

Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1. Ability to liaise effectively with surgeons, clinical staff, and administrators.
  2. Significant clinical experience in planning cataract surgery, refractions/biometry, and device operations.
  3. Strong knowledge of the cataract patient diagnostic and evaluative process.
  4. OR experience related to cataract surgery.
  5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  6. Ability to travel up to approximately 75% of the time.
  7. 6+ years of clinical experience in the ophthalmic industry.
  8. Legal ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel unrestricted in the region.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

While this position does not have formal supervisory duties, it is expected to lead clinical activities within customer sites, including onboarding and role modeling professional behavior.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING:

  1. BSc in Optometry, Master of Optometry, or BA/BS (preferred).
  2. Three to five years of related experience or training, or equivalent education and experience.
  3. Strong experience with manifest refractions.
  4. Completion of training as per the training plan, including policies on insider trading, anti-bribery, and business conduct, within specified timeframes.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Formal training in vision sciences, such as at a recognized optometry program. OD/COT/COA/COMT/CCOA/ROUB certifications are highly desirable.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in MS Office products.
