Description:

RxSight is an ophthalmic medical technology corporation headquartered in Aliso Viejo, California, that has commercialized the world’s first and only adjustable intraocular lens (IOL) that is customized after cataract surgery. The company’s mission is to revolutionize the premium cataract surgery experience by allowing surgeons to partner with their patients to achieve optimized results for every unique eye.

Overview:

The CTS III is responsible for providing world-class training and support for physicians and staff on the use and integration of RxSight products and technology. The position will support clinical efforts at customer sites via clinical support and surgery monitoring, support clinical evaluations and LDD treatments, review post-operative visits and patient follow-ups, and support clinical data collection for compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP). The role involves providing high-level support to ensure full integration of RxSight products into clinical practice, supporting both commercial and investigational study sites, and maintaining clear communication channels with customers and internal departments.

  • Train physicians and staff on RxSight technology and best practices.
  • Communicate with sites to identify key personnel and set expectations for site readiness.
  • Ensure staff supporting physicians are fully trained and competent in RxSight technology to facilitate rapid adoption.
  • Oversee customer onboarding and ongoing training to ensure operational competence and SOP compliance.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure adherence to training programs.
  • Assist with customer complaint management.
  • Support clinical study sites, ensuring protocol compliance and data integrity.
  • Train new clinical applications personnel to ensure training effectiveness.
  • Provide clinical support focusing on patient safety, customer support, and program improvement.
  • Offer strategies to optimize clinical methodology results.
  • Lead troubleshooting for clinically-relevant incidents, involving relevant company support.
  • Maintain and update the Training Portal to reflect customer activity and readiness.
  • Deliver excellent customer support, as measured by satisfaction surveys.
  • Analyze regional trends and communicate findings for process improvements.
  • Support global trade shows, meetings, and conferences.
  • Assist with clinical data collection, analysis, and presentation.

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to liaise effectively with surgeons, clinical staff, and administrators.
  • Extensive clinical experience in planning cataract surgeries, refractions/biometry, and device operations.
  • Strong knowledge of cataract diagnostics and patient flow at the clinic level.
  • Experience and understanding of OR procedures related to cataract surgery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 75%.
  • 6+ years of clinical experience in the ophthalmic industry.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel unrestricted within the region.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

While this role does not have formal supervisory duties, it involves leading clinical activities at customer sites, onboarding new customers, and demonstrating leadership through interaction with clients and colleagues.

Education, Experience, and Training:

  • BSc Optometry, Master of Optometry, or BA/BS (preferred)
  • 3-5 years of related experience or training, or equivalent education and experience
  • Experience with manifest refractions
  • Completion of required training programs, including policies on insider trading, anti-bribery, and business conduct, within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Formal training in vision sciences (e.g., optometry programs, industry training). OD/COT/COA/COMT/CCOA/ROUB certifications are highly desirable.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office products

Salary Range: $90,000 to $120,000
