Job summary

Direct Orthopedic Care in Southlake, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time role that will float between our Frisco, McKinney, Plano, and Irving clinics. You will perform administrative and clinical duties under the Pain Management Provider, including handling insurance authorizations and front-desk support.

You will greet guests, maintain PHI HIPAA compliance, assist with procedures, prepare charts, check insurance, collect copays, and help coordinate care with the clinical team.

Responsibilities

• I am able to apply DME and prepare for in-office procedures.
• I prepare guests with all clinical and administrative information needed for surgery as directed by physician when applicable.
• I assist with documentation in the medical record.
• I complete all chart prep.
• I send/receive medical records.
• I am able to check-in guests and collect demographic information, verify insurance coverage and collect copays.
• I provide support for front desk duties and all DOC office team members.
