It assists with workflow operations, document and file maintenance, and project tasks. Job Description

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience supporting customers.
  • Bilingual abilities.
Duties and Responsibilities

The following are general duties and responsibilities; other duties may be assigned:

  1. Schedule patient appointments, including follow-ups, testing, labs, and surgeries.
  2. Assist with scheduling template creation and modifications.
  3. Answer phones, triage calls, respond to patient requests, and take messages.
  4. Greet and check-in patients, verify demographic and insurance info.
  5. Assist with revenue cycle tasks like registration, referrals, and insurance verification.
  6. Collect copayments.
  7. Prepare medical records and load information into EMR.
  8. Monitor patient flow and communicate delays.
  9. Assist with billing and reconciliation.
  10. Perform general office tasks: faxing, filing, mailing, and supplies management.
  11. Support department physicians with clerical tasks.
  12. Participate in performance improvement projects.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent sitting, occasional standing, lifting 10-15 lbs.
  • Exposure to dust and office discomforts.
  • Manual dexterity for computer work.
  • Visual and auditory ability to read reports and hear instructions.
  • Some exposure to hazardous materials.
