Job description

Are you ready to join Connecticut Innovations's vibrant community of innovators? Connecticut Innovations ("CI") is Connecticut's strategic venture capital arm, and we are passionate about serving our portfolio of 220+ companies across various industries, with strengths in life sciences, technology, and climate tech.

Come join CI Portfolio Company, UltraSight- AI Powered Cardiac Ultrasound as one of their founding Clinical Account Managers!

ABOUT THE ROLE

UltraSight is an AI-powered cardiac workflow company advancing access to high quality cardiac ultrasound. The UltraSight EchoSystem brings together structured training, real-time AI guidance and interpretation, and advanced analytics, so clinical providers beyond the cardiac sonographer can perform focused echocardiography at the bedside under qualified physician oversight. The result for health systems is more echo capacity, shorter backlogs, and faster cardiac insight across the ICU, ER and inpatient settings.

The Clinical Account Manager is sesponsible for successful onboarding, sustained utilization, and customer success across assigned accounts. This role is highly field-facing and works directly with clinical users and site leadership to embed the solution into daily workflows, drive confidence and consistency in use, and ensure customers achieve meaningful clinical impact. Provides hands-on, day-to-day support at customer sites, encourages and enables reluctant users, reinforces patient-oriented use cases, and rapidly troubleshoots issues in partnership with internal teams (including R&D) to maintain momentum and satisfaction.

The company is FDA 510(k) cleared, has the EchoSystem deployed across more than 10 commercial sites spanning intensive care settings, and recently raised $24 million in Series B2 financing to scale its U.S. commercial expansion and build new workflows for the ICU and circulatory support. Its clinical evidence base is unusually deep for its stage, including twelve studies presented across ACC, ASE and ESC in 2026, a JAMA Cardiology publication, and late breaking PVAD IQ data at THT 2026.

UltraSight is moving from proving the technology to winning health system adoption. The evidence is there. The commercial team is being built. What the company needs is a leader who can turn clinical evidence into a clinical story that physicians, nurse leaders, echo lab directors and hospital executives each find credible, and who can carry that story from the first customer insight through to measured adoption at the bedside.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Account Management
  • Manage key accounts and support stakeholders to ensure alignment with clinical success and customer satisfaction.
  • Run a utilization-focused cadence: routine check-ins and review KPIs, barriers, and develop action plans.
  • Provide strategic customer support—address inquiries, concerns, and technical issues promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and provide regular internal updates on account health, utilization drivers, and risks.
Daily Site Presence & Utilization Support
  • Maintain a strong onsite presence (as needed, including daily site visits during onboarding and ramp periods) to support end users and drive consistent utilization.
  • Provide at-the-elbow support in real clinical workflows; proactively check in with users and remove friction.
  • Identify reluctant or low-confidence users and coach them through practical, repeatable steps to adoption (shadowing, quick wins, reinforcement).
  • Reinforce patient-oriented use cases relevant to the service line; help teams connect usage to real patient impact and workflow efficiency.
Implementation and Go-Live Readiness
  • Design and operationalize a structured program launch per account (clinical pathways, integration requirements, KPIs, and cadence such as QBRs).
  • Lead kickoff, stakeholder mapping, and role clarity; define launch timelines and success criteria.
  • Map site-specific clinical workflows and operational processes; ensure the product fits day-to-day realities.
  • Establish utilization baselines and ramp plans; track early adoption and intervene quickly when usage stalls.
  • Build a reinforcement model: super-users/champions, refreshers, new staff onboarding, and shift coverage plans.
  • Tailor training to each audience (clinicians, clinical leads, operations) and to each site's patient use cases.
Troubleshooting and Rapid Issue Resolution
  • Troubleshoot workflow, product, and technical issues in real time to prevent adoption drop-off and user frustration.
  • Triage issues onsite and resolve immediately when possible; when not, escal...
  • Partner closely with R&D/Product to drive fast turnaround on high-impact issues; close the loop with site stakeholders and affected users the same day whenever feasible.
  • Track recurring issues and propose workflow/product improvements that reduce friction and support sustained utilization.
Clinical Relationship and Use Case Development
  • Develop / nurture sustainable relationships with key personnel to maximize adoption and utilization.
  • Build relationships with site leadership (clinical, operational, and administrative) to align on success metrics and remove organizational barriers.
  • Identify and develop new and emerging clinical champions through key customer visits.
  • Work with leadership and frontline clinicians to identify and validate new use cases that increase clinical value and strengthen adoption pathways.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Operations, Medical, and Product Development to drive customer success initiatives.
  • Translate site feedback into actionable inputs for R&D/Product; support testing and iteration to improve usability and reliability.
  • Capture and share learnings (what drives utilization, what blocks adoption) to continuously improve onboarding and support processes.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Clinical background required (e.g., sonography, nursing, PA, cardiac/ICU/ED, cath/echo/POCUS, or related) with credibility in clinical environments.
  • Strong project and program management skills with ability to drive progress in key accounts.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and experience developing relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed planning and strong tactical execution.
  • Ability to work closely with R&D/Product teams and translate clinical needs into clear technical inputs; comfortable participating in testing/feedback loops.
  • Technically strong: able to learn device/software workflows, troubleshoot issues, and communicate effectively with clinical and technical audiences.
  • Highly mobile: willing to travel frequently; comfortable being onsite with customers as a core expectation.
WORKING AT ULTRASIGHT
  • Category defining technology: AI guided cardiac ultrasound that extends echo capacity beyond the cardiac sonographer
  • Strong clinical validation: peer reviewed evidence across multiple publications and major cardiology congresses
  • Funded for growth: $24 million Series B2 raised in September 2026 to scale U.S. commercial expansion
  • Equity participation in a high growth company
  • Direct access to the Chief Commercial Officer and the executive team, with room to build the function your way

Compensation: Competitive base, bonus, + equity; commensurate with experience.
