Job summary

Williamson Health's Bone & Joint Institute Radiology in Franklin, TN is seeking a dedicated X-ray Technician to provide high-quality imaging services to patients and physicians in a cooperative, efficient environment.

The role requires Radiologic Tech credentials, BLS, and a willingness to train in fluoroscopy and other modalities. You will follow ALARA and safety standards, assist patients, support the team, and contribute to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Radiologic Technology diploma or degree required with CE compliance.
• Basic life support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
• Preference for at least one year clinic experience; training available.
• Knowledge of x-ray equipment, fluoroscopy, and routine studies; willing to perform daily.

Responsibilities

• Check patient identification and physician order for accuracy.
• Document pregnancy status for females 12–50 and record accordingly.
• Always wear radiation dosimeter badge and monitor exposure.
• Follow ALARA and safety standards (IMAGE GENTLY/IMAGE WISELY).
• Protect patient dignity; ensure proper coverage during exams and transport.
• Assist in other areas during downtime and optimize time usage.
• Monitor patients waiting in hallways for comfort and safety.
• Demonstrate leadership and teamwork in challenging situations.
• Volunteer for overtime and fill-in when needed.
• Move patients safely from wheelchair/stretcher to table.
• Perform high quality studies consistently and efficiently.
• Collaborate with staff to optimize equipment usage and requests.
