Job summary

Madison Valley Hospital Inc is seeking a Clinic Triage/Nurse to answer patient inquiries by phone, assess symptoms, and guide care. You will schedule appointments with providers, document triage interactions, and maintain health records in the patient care system.

The role includes updating care plans, coordinating with ED and other services, and contributing to COVID-19 related workflows while following MVMC protocols and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Montana RN License or bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• One year working as a school or community health nurse preferred.
• Two years’ experience Medical/Surgical preferred.
• BLS & CPR required upon hire.
• Annual Safety Training and N-95 Mask Fitting.

Responsibilities

• Triage Phone Response: Manages patient health concerns via telephone and schedules appointments.
• Patient Documentation: Maintains accurate patient records and documents education provided.
• Enter all pertinent communications with the patient into the Medical Record.
• Enter clinical RN notes in patients’ charts with triage details.
• Notify ED RN of potential patients and provide condition reports and ETA.
• Care Coordination: Collaborate with care team to promote coordinated patient-centered care.
