Job description

**Responsibilities**

Under the supervision of the Diagnostic Imaging Medical Director and the Director of Diagnostic Imaging, the incumbent performs high-quality diagnostic mammographic exams. The incumbent processes images, documents services performed, and makes adjustments and minor repairs on equipment. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization, with behavior aligned to the Core Values.

**Qualifications**

Experience:

• Minimum experience required for graduates with dual certification in Radiologic Technology and Mammography.
• Experience with various imaging equipment such as PACS, Film Digitizers, Densitometry for QC, PCs with Windows, preferably with General Electric equipment.

Education:

• Graduation from an AMA-certified school of radiology technology.

Licensure:

• Current California state license in radiologic technology
• ARRT Certification
• Current Mammography license
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare workers.

Job Specifications:

• Thorough understanding of basic anatomy, fluoroscopic, and radiographic procedures.
• Proficiency in radiographic/mammographic positioning, equipment usage, and radiation safety.
• Knowledge of technical factors.
• Responsible for patient assessment, treatment, and care across all ages.
• Understanding of current MQSA documentation and quality control responsibilities.
