Job summary

Brio Living Services in Niles, MI seeks an experienced Clinic Supervisor (RN) to lead daily operations and supervise staff in a supportive, elder-focused clinic setting.

You will coordinate care plans with an interdisciplinary team, ensure adequate supplies, and guide staff toward compassionate, compliant participant care with a strong emphasis on work-life balance.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan.
  • Minimum of one year experience with the frail elderly or long-term care population.
  • At least one year of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Technologically adept and proficient in electronic medical records.
  • CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily clinic operations to ensure efficient care is delivered to participants.
  • Solves problems and addresses obstacles that may occur throughout the day.
  • Provides cross-site administrative and leadership support to clinic staff.
  • Supervises clinic staff including Medical Assistants, RNs and LPNs.
  • Completes hiring, training, discipline, performance and competency reviews.
  • Coordinates nursing care for participants per program standards.
  • Ensures staff have supplies and equipment in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Operations.
  • Participates in the interdisciplinary team and coordinates care plans with participants, family and caregivers.
  • Participates in site-specific and cross-site leadership meetings and initiatives.
  • Consults with leaders about high-risk clinical situations and organizational issues.

Key Responsibilities
Clinic Operations Oversight
  • Oversees the daily operations of the clinic to ensure efficient and complete care is delivered to participants.
  • Problem solves effectively, addressing challenges and obstacles that may occur throughout the day.
  • Provides cross-site administrative and leadership support to clinic staff as needed.
Staff Supervision
  • Supervises clinic staff members including but not exclusive to Medical Assistants, Registered Nurses, and Licensed Practical Nurses.
  • Completes hiring, training, discipline, performance and competency reviews.
  • Coordinates and supervises nursing care for participants in the PACE clinic according to program standards.
  • Ensures all clinic staff have adequate supplies and equipment to perform their duties in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Operations.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
  • Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team and coordinates effectively with other supervisors and managers to support and execute participant care.
  • Oversees and participates in the development and implementation of plans of care with participants, family, and caregivers in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Participates in site-specific and cross-site leadership meetings and initiatives.
  • Consults with appropriate leaders about high-risk clinical situations and organizational development issues.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
