Job summary

UT Health San Antonio is seeking a clinic scheduling and registration support specialist to handle telephonic scheduling, patient registration, and coordination of insurance information. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage patient messages efficiently.

You will document requests, prioritize urgency, and assist patients with questions while providing backup front-desk coverage during shortages. On-site work at UT Health San Antonio locations is expected.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of related scheduling/registration experience or equivalent clinical support experience.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize messages based on urgency and coordinate with clinic staff.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and assist with patient registration and insurance data.
• Provide telephonic support, inform patients of copays/balances, and coordinate interpreter services when needed.
• Document messages in the system and prioritize based on urgency; provide backup front-desk support as needed.
