Job summary

Great Plains Health in North Platte, Nebraska, is seeking a Clinic Registered Nurse (GPPN) to support our Urology Providers. You will check patients in using the EMR, obtain vital signs, review systems and medication histories, and ensure rooms and supplies are ready for procedures.

The role includes triaging patient calls, assisting with in-office procedures, administering medications and injections, and documenting care in the patient chart according to protocol.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in state of practice, temporary RN license, or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required; additional certification or CE may be required based on area of practice.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in upon arrival using EMR and obtain vital signs.
• Review systems; medication lists; family and social histories; ensure chart completeness before physician encounter.
• Ensure supplies are available and rooms are sterile and safe for procedures.
• Triage patient phone calls and medication requests; support physician with in-office procedures.
• Administer logs (e.g., refrigeration control, sample medication receiving/distribution).
• Maintain records of visits, medications, and vital signs in the EHR; communicate results to providers.
