Providence Health Plan Group seeks a Clinic RN Nurse in the oncology department to deliver direct and indirect nursing care, educate patients and families, perform physical assessments and assist physicians with exams and procedures.

Hours are 7:00 AM–4:00 PM Monday–Thursday and 7:00 AM–12:00 PM Friday. Responsibilities include ongoing oncology education, BLS, and collaboration with the care team to support patient-centered outcomes.

Formación

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Texas RN license required at hire.
• ACLS/ALS certification required or obtained during orientation.
• Ongoing oncology education or OCN certification preferred.
• Completion of 12 cancer-related CE credits annually or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care in the oncology department.
• Educate patients and families; document and communicate patient information clearly.
• Conduct physical assessments and nutrition counseling.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures as needed.

Description

The Clinic RN Nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect nursing care of patients in the specific oncology department. The ability to retrieve, communicate or otherwise present information in a written, auditory or visual fashion is essential. The Clinic RN nurse is responsible for patient education, physical assessment, nutrition counseling and assisting physicians with exams and procedures.

Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday and 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM Friday

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing
• Coursework/Training Upon hire, ALS will need to be obtained within orientation period and maintained on a quarterly basis thereafter.
• Coursework/Training Upon hire, ongoing oncology education; 12 cancer-related CE credits per year or OCN certification
• Upon hire: Texas Registered Nurse License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Nursing
• 1 year Oncology experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
