Job summary

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Excellent communication, organizational and patient-focused interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience in aesthetic nursing or plastic surgery is preferred (2+ years).
• Knowledge of EMR software and clinic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, review medical history, take vital signs, and screen for procedure eligibility.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for surgical procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain sterile, safe environments.
• Monitor patients during and after treatments for complications.
• Assist surgeon during consultations and in-office procedures.
• Coordinate patient follow-up and education.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record.
• Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, infection control and nursing regulations.
• Educate patients about procedures, aftercare and skincare regimens.
• Support clinic workflow and scheduling.

We are recruiting for a part-time Clinic RN.

Summary/Objective

The Clinic RN provides high-quality patient care in both clinical and cosmetic settings. This role involves supporting a plastic surgeon and clinical staff, performing patient assessments, providing patient education, managing pre- and post-operative care, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for all patients.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Clinical & Patient Care

• Perform patient assessments, including reviewing medical history, taking vital signs, and screening for procedure eligibility.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for surgical procedures.
• Prepare patients and clinical treatment areas prior to procedures; maintain sterile and safe work environments.
• Monitor patients during and after treatments to identify and respond to complications or adverse reactions.
• Assist surgeon during consultations and in-office procedures as needed.
• Support patient follow-up via phone or in person for recovery monitoring & education.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, treatment plans, consents, and charting in the electronic health record.
• Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and state nursing practice regulations.
• Educate patients about procedures, expected outcomes, risks, aftercare instructions, and appropriate skincare regimens.
• Address patient questions and concerns professionally and compassionately.

Clinic Operations & Team Collaboration

• Assist with clinic workflow by preparing treatment rooms, ordering and restocking supplies, and coordinating patient schedules.

Required Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certification
• Excellent communication, organizational, and patient-focused interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in aesthetic nursing, plastic surgery, dermatology, or related clinical practice (2+ years preferred).
• Knowledge of EMR software and clinic systems.
