Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Auburn, ME is seeking a Staff RN for the Ambulatory Surgery Center. The role delivers direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting, coordinating with surgeons and anesthesiologists and guiding OR staff to ensure safe, efficient care.

Required are an active RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS; at least 1 year perioperative experience; CNOR preferred and BSN preferred. Schedule is full-time days with a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training.
• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Staff RN is directly accountable to the RN Supervisor Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) and the ASC Manager. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for children, adolescents, adults and older adults. The Registered Nurse coordinates the care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, directs and guides the OR Technician and other personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Works with other departments to provide a continuum of care and co-workers to provide continuous, quality patient care, efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization. Responsible for adherence to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures. Responsible for participation in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services. Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $33.00 to $46.07 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
