Job summary

Mercy Cedar Rapids is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support patient-centered care by assisting physicians and mid-level providers in all aspects of patient care. You will perform nursing duties during clinic visits, via telehealth, and electronically, following established protocols.

Qualifications

• RN license in Iowa is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in medical office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares instruments, supplies and protective devices for exam and testing prior to the visit.
• Rooms and prepares the patient for examination and records vitals.
• Under provider orders, administers injections and collects specimens.
• Provides patient instruction and discharge planning; schedules follow-ups.
• Manages test results communication and medication requests/refills per protocols.
• Assists with diagnostic procedures (EKG, Nebulizer) as directed by provider.
