Job summary

MercyCare in Cedar Rapids, IA, seeks a Clinic CMA/LPN/RN for full-time work in a physician-led internist practice. The RN will support care delivery, perform exams, venipuncture, injections, and labs, and educate patients. Requires Iowa RN licensure and BLS; one year medical-office experience preferred.

Qualifications

Current RN license in Iowa required.
BLS certification required.
One year medical office experience preferred.
Education sufficient to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

Prepare instruments, supplies, and protective equipment prior to exams.
Room and prepare patients; review histories, allergies, meds, and vitals.
Administer injections, collect specimens, and perform phlebotomy as directed.
Provide patient instructions and discharge summaries; schedule follow-ups and referrals.
Handle test result communications and treatment instructions.
Process medication requests and refills per protocols.
Assist with diagnostic procedures (EKG, nebulizer) as directed.
