Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program is required.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or an approved compact state as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Coordinates patient flow, lab work, and nurse visits to facilitate quality patient care.
• Provides professional nursing care as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with Nebraska Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies.
• Maintains patient chart documentation and monitors patient status.
• Retrieves messages from patients and other healthcare offices in a timely manner as delegated.
• Administers injections, vital signs, and basic testing as delegated.
• Keeps exam rooms clean, stocked, and disinfected.
• Schedules follow-up and specialty appointments.
• Explains tests and preparation to patients for education.
• Monitors inventory and communicates needs to the Office Manager.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
