Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Clinic in Tampa, Florida. The RN will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, perform comprehensive assessments, coordinate with the care team, and support safe care delivery in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities include patient education, care management, documentation in EMR, and adherence to protocols to ensure outstanding patient experience. Florida RN licensure and an Associate's degree are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing (RN) required.
• Active Florida RN licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments to determine patient needs and identify care barriers.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, ancillary staff, and other team members to ensure continuity and high-quality outcomes.
• Serve as a clinical and emotional resource for staff, providing guidance on complex patient situations.
• Manage patient medication profiles and communicate lab and diagnostic results to providers.
• Complete triage tasks, in-basket messages, care management activities, and wellness visit support as needed.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and care plans to promote understanding and self-management.
• Accurately document nursing assessments, treatments, and patient responses within the EMR.
• Identify gaps in care and participate in quality improvement efforts to support team performance metrics.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment by following clinical, emergency, and infection-control protocols.
• Support and enhance the patient experience through compassionate care and professionalism.
