Job summary

Northwestern Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Clinic RN Educator for the outpatient clinics. The position is part-time (64 hours bi-weekly), on-site in St. Albans, VT with a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits.

The educator will develop orientation programs for new hires, supervise preceptors, and advance EMR training in partnership with the RN Informaticist. Required BSN, VT RN license, with 5 years' nursing/educator experience; MSN preferred. BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN required; MSN preferred; Vermont RN licensure required.
• Experience: 5 years in nursing, educator, or nursing instructor required; Master’s may substitute for 2 years.
• Skills: Basic computer skills; BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee onboarding of new clinic staff and preceptors.
• Develop educational plans and evaluate training effectiveness.
• Assess patient care quality and support high reliability outcomes.
• Conduct clinic rounding and provide just-in-time and formal training.
• Collaborate with units to improve care quality and serve as clinical resource.
• Lead Meditech EMR training with RN Informaticist and ensure documentation quality.
