  • Assist in all areas of the business office daily operations.
  • Plans ahead and is well organized and manages time well.
  • Effectively uses time to complete job assignments.
  • Assists with answering phones in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Follows HIPAA guidelines when handling billing issues.
  • Accurately balances all payments and charges daily.
  • Maintains high standard of work even under pressure of deadlines and frequent interruptions, remaining professional, responsive, and cooperative.
  • Ability to work with integrity, trust and commitment, setting an example for others.
  • Able to verify insurances correctly.
  • Enters payments into billing system by effectively posting insurance payments and proficiently opens, closes and prints batches daily.
  • Work unpaid claim reports (AR) for assigned clinic.
  • File claims to primary and secondary insurances as needed.
  • Other duties assigned by Director, Clinic Manager, COO and/or CEO.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma and experience of 1-2 years.

Language Skills

Reads and comprehends complex instructions, lengthy correspondence, and memos; Writes simple to complex correspondence; Presents information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees effectively.

Mathematical Skills

Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; Computes rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability

Applies common sense understanding to carry out detailed, written or oral instructions; Deals with problems involving some variables in standardized situations.
