Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Nurse Resident Specialty Clinics

Join our team as a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Nurse Resident Specialty Clinics at Children's Nebraska.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 0800-1630

Job Overview:

Prescribes, delegates, and coordinates professional nursing care to pediatric patients, following hospital policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines. Demonstrates competency in required skills for the area.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct age-specific patient/family assessments and document findings.
  • Assess and reassess patients according to clinical guidelines and standards.
  • Gather and document data on physical, mental, developmental, emotional, and social conditions.
  • Communicate care plans effectively to patients and families.
  • Identify need for physician involvement or changes in care plans.
  • Follow up on tests, labs, and results within established timeframes.
  • Provide education to patients and families, documenting understanding.
  • Support providers and assist in clinic operations to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Perform procedures within RN scope, including database entry, scheduling, and patient education.
  • Ensure continuity of care through coordination and documentation.
  • Maintain regular attendance and perform physical requirements as specified.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience; less than 1 year requires participation in Nurse Residency Program.
  • Experience with pediatric patients and EPIC system preferred.
  • Valid RN license in Nebraska or a compact state, and BLS certification required upon hire.
