You will maintain exam rooms, educate patients, document care, and collaborate with the health care team. Shifts may range long hours within a community-based setting.

Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of acute and chronic protocols, administration of medications, delivering physical care following treatment plan.
• Knowledge of how to assess a patient with chronic medical conditions / understanding of pathophysiology regarding disease process.
• Knowledge of health promotion principles and techniques that can be used to educate patients which encourages them to participate in their care.

Aufgaben

• Provides general nursing care to patients in the clinic and administers medications per standing orders or physician-written orders.
• Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials; prepares equipment and assists physicians during treatment and examination.
• Observes, records and reports changes in patient condition and informs the physician; educates patient/family about procedures and medications.
• Ensures patients displaying a change in medical condition are given immediate attention and priority.
• Maintains/reviews patient records and ensures pre-op calls meet protocol for scheduled procedures.
• Responds to inbound patient treatment-related calls, instructs patients on medications and treatment instructions.
• Monitors patient conditions and responses to drugs; demonstrates clinical expertise in post-procedure recovery.
• Maintains privacy, confidentiality, and integrity of patient and organizational data.
