Job Description

The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for providing excellent nursing care to both well patients and those with health problems, while ensuring the patient's right to privacy and confidentiality. They must maintain competency, exercise sound judgment, delegate tasks appropriately, and seek consultation when needed. The nurse is responsible for handling emergency situations to deliver high-quality service to patients and providers at clinic sites. They participate in monitoring the quality of service to ensure compliance with safety, public health, OSHA, and ACHC regulations. Additionally, they serve as a nursing resource to other clinical staff.

Qualifications

Professional/Educational

• Graduate of an accredited RN school. BSN preferred.
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nursing license.
• Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
• Experience in ambulatory clinics preferred.
• Proficient with computers.
• DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
