Job description

Responsibilities

• Perform patient check-in at the time of visit and complete all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and compliant with clinic and regulatory policies.
• Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.
• Schedule appointments according to office guidelines.
• Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, including collecting copays and deductibles.
• Copy/scan patient access related materials into the electronic medical record.
• Prepare charts for patient appointments, ensuring all necessary information is complete.
• Conduct all functions associated with patient check-out, including pricing services, collecting payments, and scheduling follow-ups.
• Assist with record filing and retrieval, and filing registration documentation electronically.
• Confirm next-day appointments and inform patients of required documentation and payment details.
• Follow up with patients regarding the Missed Appointment Policy and send necessary communications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
