Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in general radiography in a clinic or outpatient setting.
• ARRT Radiography Certification required.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist per state regulations, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures as ordered by physicians, following department protocols and ensuring diagnostic image quality.
• Explains imaging procedures to patients, ensures patient cooperation, and monitors patient condition throughout the procedure.
• Practices ALARA radiation safety to protect patients, self, and team.
• Evaluates images for diagnostic quality and repeats images as needed.
• Operates mobile radiography equipment in emergencies and at bedside.
• Maintains exam rooms and equipment in a clean, organized condition and reports malfunctions.
• Documents information in imaging and EHR systems timely and accurately.
• Responds to medical emergencies and adverse reactions to contrast media; provides basic first aid.
• May function as a Medical Assistant (MA) if allowed by state law.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
