Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Registered by Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.
National Certification Examinations by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and current certification on display within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

Verifies patient name, date of birth, prescriber, and address for the prescription.
Enters information to generate prescription labels.
Retrieves and dispenses medications from stock and maintains inventory.
Assists pharmacists with prep and reconstitution of medications.
Handles telephone inquiries for pharmacists and processes electronic third-party claims.
