Job summary

University Hospitals in Westlake, OH is seeking a Practice Supervisor to lead patient care operations across Orthopedic and Podiatry clinics, including travel between offices. You will manage staffing, scheduling, and clinic access to optimize patient flow and outcomes.

The role requires an LPN license or equivalent, 5+ years in physician practice leadership, and strong EMR and scheduling system experience. Travel between UH facilities is expected.

Qualifications

• LPN license is required; 5+ years physician practice leadership or an Associate's degree alternative.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical operations experience.
• Proven ability to recruit, onboard, train and evaluate staff.
• Familiarity with scheduling systems IDX, Athena, Soarian.
• Strong EMR proficiency: AEMR, ImpactMD, ImpactSis; HIPAA/PHI awareness.
• Knowledge of COP/ICD-9/10 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead direct patient care delivery through staffing and patient flow.
• Schedule staff to ensure appropriate coverage based on needs.
• Supervise clinical and clerical staff; recruitment and development.
• Interface with access services and manage clinic patient access/scheduling.
• Add/close clinics as needed and allocate staff accordingly.
• Serve as super user of EMR to ensure chart accuracy; train staff.
• Oversee Kronos timekeeping and payroll processes.
• Approve supplies and reconcile budgets.
• Handle daily deposits for POS staff at multiple locations.
• Address patient complaints.
