Black Hills Heart & Vascular Institute in Rapid City, SD, seeks a dedicated Clinic Nurse for a cardiology-focused practice. The role offers a predictable schedule with a 4-day work week, no call, and no night shifts, including potential support in the procedure center or OBL.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, assisting physicians, ECGs, triage, and patient education, with a collaborative team in a physician-owned setting.

Formación

• Current RN licensure in South Dakota or compact state eligibility.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience, preferably in cardiology or specialty clinic.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular conditions andMedications.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsabilidades

• Assess patients by rooming, obtain vital signs, histories, and chief complaints.
• Assist physicians during clinic visits and minor procedures.
• Administer medications and injections as ordered.
• Perform ECGs and apply rhythm monitors.
• Triage calls and respond to clinical inquiries promptly.
• Deliver test results and follow-up instructions to patients.
• Schedule procedures, referrals, and follow-ups; coordinate care with providers.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in the EMR.
• Educate patients on cardiovascular conditions, medications, and lifestyle changes.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinic Nurse to join our physician-owned cardiovascular practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse looking for a rewarding clinic environment with a predictable schedule and no night shifts or call requirements. Our clinic nurses may also help in the procedure center, or OBL, if desired.

Schedule

• 4-day work week
• No call required
• No night shifts

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
• Assist physicians during clinic visits and minor procedures
• Administer medications and injections as ordered by the physician
• Perform electrocardiograms (ECGs) and apply rhythm monitors
• Triage patient phone calls and respond to clinical inquiries in a timely manner
• Contact patients by phone to deliver test results and follow-up instructions
• Assist with scheduling patients for procedures, referrals, and follow-up appointments
• Coordinate care with other healthcare providers and facilities
• Accurately document all patient interactions in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients on cardiovascular conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications
• Willingness to assist with all aspects of patient care in a small, collaborative practice setting

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of South Dakota (or compact state eligibility)
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a cardiology or specialty clinic setting
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular conditions and medications
• Excellent communication, organizational, and patient education skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical records
• $34–$40 per hour, commensurate with experience
