Job summary

Clearview Cancer Institute in north Alabama is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess patient health problems, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain comprehensive medical records in a busy radiation clinic setting.

Responsibilities include administering IV injections and medications, preparing patients for procedures, and providing anesthetic assistance when sedation is required. LPN licensure, Alabama license, and BLS are required, with at least 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• LPN license and nursing licensure as required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Alabama Nursing License required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and document/adjust treatment as needed.
• Administer and oversee intravenous injections and medications.
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide anesthetic assistance when sedation is needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts.
• Provide guidance to patients and caregivers about procedures and health maintenance.
