Job summary

Clearview Cancer Institute in north Alabama seeks a dedicated Radiation Therapist to deliver prescribed radiation therapies under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist. You will maintain accurate treatment records, assist with simulations, manage scheduling, and participate in quality control activities to support safe, effective patient care.

Responsibilities

• Delivers a prescribed course of radiation therapy as directed by a Radiation Oncologist.
• Maintains documentation of patient treatment records, films and schedules.
• Performs simulations using departmental procedures under physician and physicist direction while documenting setup parameters.
• Maintains patient scheduling in each technical area.
• Maintains billing for simulation, treatment, port films and treatment aides.
• Participates in quality control procedures within the department.
• Maintains inventory of supplies needed in each technical area assigned.
• Daily monitors, evaluates and refers each patient for side effects, nutritional status, physical disease progression, emotional and psycho-social status.
• Independently uses treatment computer software.
