Job title: Clinic Medical Receptionist
Reports to: Clinic Manager
Position: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Position Summary
The Clinic Medical Receptionist is responsible for corresponding with patients, maintaining the organization of the office, and ensuring that our environment is welcoming and calm for our patients and their families at Cherry County Hospital and Clinic.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Greet patients, vendors, pharmaceutical representatives, and other visitors to our medical office
- Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary
- Field all phone calls that arrive using our general office number
- Utilize our medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for our patients
- Distribute forms and paperwork to patients, then review them to ensure that required fields are completed appropriately
- Process patient payments in office
- Verify patient insurances through online portals
- Make patient phone call reminders of appointments
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient records
- Ensures the confidentiality of patients’ medical, personal, and financial records is maintained
- Knowledgeable of and committed to practicing Corporate Compliance policies and procedures
- Complies with Cherry County Hospital personnel policies
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Has the ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing or sitting
- Able to complete repetitive movements of the hands and upper extremities
- Able to move equipment around as needed
- Must be able to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
Requirements
Minimum Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ years of experience working as an administrative assistant or in a relevant role preferred, but not required
- General insurance knowledge
