Job summary

This full-time role requires experience with medical software and strong communication skills, and includes a day shift with potential Saturday rotation to support 8 attending providers and multiple clinics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required; certification or additional training must meet Meaningful use requirements.
• BLS certification required; ability to work with medical software and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam and treatment by taking and recording vital signs and chief complaint; reports changes to clinician.
• Assists providers with exams and minor in-office procedures, phlebotomies, EKGs, and patient flow management.
• Coordinates pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions and scheduling; communicates test results to patients.
