Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Tacoma, WA seeks a Medical Assistant to keep daily patient flow smooth and efficient. You will proactively prepare patient charts and collect up-to-date information for those seen in our facility, with multiple patients daily depending on physicians on-site.

Responsibilities include vital signs, basic lab work, phlebotomy, injections as supervised, and secure documentation in the EMR. Bring empathy and efficiency to a team-focused medical environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required at hire.
• Completion of MA certification program or equivalent military training.
• MA certification WA required.
• Basic Life Support recognized by the American Heart Association.

Responsabilités

• Greets and prepares patients for visits and records vital signs.
• Performs basic lab and phlebotomy procedures and administers medications under supervision.
• Documents visits in the EMR per established procedures.
• Reviews medical documentation for accuracy and consistency.
• Prepares, cleans and sterilizes instruments; maintains supplies and inventory.
• Schedules appointments and referrals as instructed with other departments.
