The position requires MA certification or equivalent training, CPR with AED, and national CMA/RMA/NRCMA certification where applicable. Travel to other GMG locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education or equivalent.
• Certificate of completion from an accredited school for medical assistants is required or equivalent medical training.
• CPR certification with AED is required and must be kept current.
• National certification as a Registered or Certified Medical Assistant is required as initial and continued employment at Gonzaba Medical Group is contingent upon this credential.
• National Certification must be issued from one of the following associations: AAMA CMA; ARMA RMA; NAHP NRCMA; or other GMG-approved association.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care in a clinic setting.
• Obtains vital signs and applies monitoring devices.
• Documents clinical findings in the EMR.
• Assists with tests, procedures, and patient education.
• Maintains exam rooms and equipment.
• Ensures confidentiality and adheres to patient care standards.
• Travels to support patient care at other GMG locations if needed.
