UCLA Health in Los Angeles seeks a Clinic Manager to oversee administrative and clinical support for an assigned Community Clinic. You will supervise staff, manage patient experience, access, financial oversight, and ensure quality and safety in daily operations.

Responsibilities include physician onboarding/offboarding, care coordination, space and supply management, revenue cycle processes, policy deployment, and staff training. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated effective supervisory skills including experience in recruitment, performance appraisal, identification and communication of expectations, discipline, and training.
  • Skill in analyzing information and procedures to define objectives, identify patterns and recognize alternatives and their implications.
  • Skill in operating a personal computer and software programs, including MS Word, and Excel Spreadsheet.
  • Interpersonal skills to promote a cooperative and productive work environment and to establish and maintain cooperative, productive working relationships with faculty, residents, medical students and staff from various social, cultural, and economic backgrounds.
  • Working knowledge of the Care Connect system
  • Writing skills to prepare accurate and concise reports and memorandums that clearly convey information utilizing appropriate vocabulary and grammar.
  • Working knowledge of computerized appointment scheduling and registration system, and the ability to effectively train staff in the use of the system.
  • Skill in verbal communications to clearly convey complex problems and proposals in both formal and informal situations
  • Demonstrated experience in managing patient services and nursing staff in a private medical clinic
  • Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities
  • Accounting skills to plan, prepare and analyze revenue and expense budgets
  • Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with a patient population in varying degrees of health
  • Working knowledge of major medical insurance plans.
  • Ability to work occasional weekends or evenings as required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee administrative and clinical support functions for the assigned Community Clinic.
  • Responsibilities including overseeing patient experience, access, financial and budgetary oversight, staff human resources oversight, clinician on/off-boarding, care coordination and communication, space management, supply-chain management, environment of care, clinical outcomes, medication management, quality and safety reporting, revenue cycle management, policy development and deployment for assigned practice.
  • Core Competencies include strategic and critical thinking, operational execution and problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, data-driven and ethical decision-making.
