Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in California to provide direct patient care in a clinic setting under supervision. The role includes administering medications, patient assessments, and assisting with procedures.

The LVN will float across facilities, maintain records, educate patients, and support a multidisciplinary team. CA licensure and BLS are required, with bilingual skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LVN program.
• Current CA LVN license in good standing.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum one year of experience working with the elderly or frail population.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Bilingual in Spanish, Cantonese, or other language is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting patient information.
• Assist with diagnostic tests and clinical procedures.
• Provide patient education and support regarding treatment plans and health maintenance.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
• Ensure a clean and safe clinical environment.
• Assist in emergencies as needed.
• Maintain clinic supplies and ensure adequate stock levels.
• Actively participate in team meetings, contributing clinical expertise to team planning and problem-solving processes.
