Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to keep the day running smoothly for patients and the clinical team. You will lead proactive preparation of patient charts and ensure information is up-to-date for those seen in our facility.

You will manage care for multiple patients, adapt to physician availability on-site, and collaborate with the team to prioritize tasks and maintain seamless patient flow.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Nursing graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
• Licensed Practical Nurse: WA is required.
• Basic Life Support - CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for practitioner visits, rooms patients, records vital signs and basic information.
• Assists with nursing procedures and coordinates care per protocols; refers complex cases to RN or provider.
• Assists with point-of-care testing (CLIA-Waived) following established protocols.
• Administers medications per provider orders and tracks usage.
• Documents procedures in the patient record and manages orders.
• Maintains exam rooms and sterilizes equipment.
