Job summary

Mercyhealth in Wisconsin is seeking a licensed practical nurse who will provide hands-on patient care in a clinic setting. You will prepare patients for exams, document in the medical record, assist with procedures, administer injections and medications, and perform basic lab tests and venipuncture.

You will support clinic leadership and staff, participate in quality improvement activities, help with surveys, reinforce patient education, and ensure supplies are stocked and available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Licensed as an LPN in the State of Practice.
• CPR or BLS certification within 90 days; TACT within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Rooms and prepares patient for examination and procedures.
• Collects patient data and documents in the medical record.
• Administers injections and medications as directed.
• Performs venipuncture and basic lab tests as needed.
• Assists during treatment with procedures and testing.
• Supports clinic leadership and participates in QA/PI activities.
• Reinforces patient education and maintains supplies.
