Job summary

Madison County Government invites applications for a professional nursing and screening role within our community health program. The incumbent will provide immunization services for adults and children, conduct TB screening, and perform vision and hearing screenings for preschool and school-age children according to state guidelines.

Additional duties include equipment checks, scheduling calibrations, and pregnancy testing under physician standing orders, contributing to a comprehensive public

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of vision and hearing training programs as prescribed by the Illinois Department of Public Health or a current IDPH Vision and Hearing certificate.
• Certification from a one-year practical nurse program and an Illinois LPN license.
• One year of related healthcare experience; a valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide immunization services to adults and children following ACIP guidelines and physician orders.
• Provide TB screening services to adults and children per standing orders.
• Perform vision and hearing screenings for preschool children as outlined by IDPH grant and guidelines.
• Perform vision and hearing screenings for school-age children per current guidelines.
• Check operation of screening equipment and schedule calibrations or maintenance.
• Provide other clinic services such as pregnancy testing per MD standing orders.
