Job summary

Kids for the Future in Oklahoma City is seeking a Lab/Radiology Technician to perform radiologic diagnostic imaging and laboratory testing, supporting QA activities and working closely with clinic staff. This safety-sensitive position requires travel to all First Med locations, adherence to policies, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patient confidentiality and accuracy.

Position Summary

The Lab/Radiology Technician is responsible for the day-to-day Radiological Diagnostic Imaging, and Laboratory Testing of patients and related technical duties. The Technician is responsible for assisting the radiological and laboratory departments' quality assurance and improvement activities. Works closely with the clinic and medical staff.

POSITION SUMMARY EXPANDED:

Under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act , (“The Unity Bill”) this position is considered a “Safety-sensitive position. “Safety-sensitive” is defined to include “any job that includes tasks or duties that could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others.” Employees working in “safety-sensitive” roles are subject to this exception and subject to disciplinary action in the event of a positive test for marijuana or its metabolites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following areas:

• Prepare and know the specific uses of radiological equipment and supplies used for imaging procedures on assigned patient.

• Accountable to assess monitor and report in a timely fashion unit/department activity required of position.
• Assist in orienting new employees on clinical policies and procedures. Mentor and/or function as resources for all staff.
• Initiate maintenance/repair requisitions for radiology or laboratory equipment used. Report to the Provider and supervisor for specific equipment to that clinic.
• Utilize automated processes and clinical information systems appropriately and efficiently.
• Display flexibility towards schedule changes, reassignment and assisting my employee in the clinic.
• Perform related duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
