Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in environmental services, housekeeping, custodial work, or hospital facility maintenance required
• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, and floor care techniques
• Ability to safely handle biohazardous and infectious waste in compliance with infection control standards
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules effectively

Responsibilities

• Performs floor care tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, and shampooing various flooring surfaces
• Collects, removes, and properly disposes of waste, including biohazardous and infectious materials
• Handles and processes soiled linens, replacing them with clean bags
• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas
• Responds to spills and contamination cleanups with proper disinfection
• Moves furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning or relocation
• Maintains cleaning logs and reports completed tasks
